Clinical Pregnancy Rates from our Cambridge Clinic
2011 Highlights
The following are clinical pregnancy rates for embryo transfers carried out between April 1st 2011 and Oct 31st 2011:
- All patients having a single embryo (blastocyst) transfer (210 patients) achieved a 52.4% clinical pregnancy rate
- Patents aged 37 and under having a single embryo (blastocyst) transferred (203 patients) achieved a 52.7% clinical pregnancy rate
- Patients aged 35 and under having a single embryo (blastocyst) transferred (174 patients) achieved a 54% clinical pregnancy rate
- All patients having a day 5 transfer ( blastocyst) (513 patients) achieved a 46.6% clinical pregnancy rate
2010 Highlights
We are delighted to report that the Bourn Hall Multiple Birth Minimisation Strategy has maintained clinical pregnancy rates in 2010. For example, 262 patients, with an average age of 32, who had a single blastocyst replaced, achieved a 42.7% clinical pregnancy rate with only two sets of twins. This shows that our Single Embryo Transfer protocol has driven down multiple births whilst continuing to achieve excellent success rates.
42% of Bourn Hall patients funded by the NHS got pregnant on their first attempt with a single embryo transfer.
Even though government regulations are becoming ever stricter with respect to multiple birth targets, we are committed to continuing to provide patient choice and good pregnancy rates at Bourn Hall. 2009 Highlights
Clinical Pregnancy is confirmed by ultrasound scans seven weeks into pregnancy. Our latest results show a 38% overall clinical pregnancy rate in patients aged under 38 and particular success in the blastocyst culture technique.
- Over 50% of patients aged under 38, having blastocyst transfer, get pregnant at Bourn Hall Clinic
- 22% of patients having IUI treatment with donor sperm from the Bourn Hall sperm bank achieve a pregnancy
