James Paget University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
Sub Fertility Department
Mr Peter Greenwood is the lead Consultant for Sub Fertility, with a further Sub Fertility Consultant working alongside him. The Nursing team is Sister Debbie Currie, Sub Fertility Nurse Specialist, Sister Nicky Eade and two registered nurses, and the team is supported by a Clinic Coordinator who receives referrals and arranges appointments within the appropriate waiting times.
The department has clinics at JPUH twice weekly and will shortly be providing a clinic at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital.
A Transport IVF and Transport ICSI programme is established between the James Paget University Hospital Fertility Clinic and Bourn Hall Clinic near Cambridge. The first part of the treatment programme, up to and including the egg collection, can be carried out at the hospital and the embryo transfer performed at Bourn Hall Clinic. You can choose which parts of your treatment are provided by the hospital and which you wish to have carried out at Bourn Hall. The Consultants and nursing staff at the hospital will be able to explain the programme and your options to you. The unit plans approximately 200 treatment cycles each year, achieving a high success rate.
The Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority is the licensing body for the unit and annual inspections are carried out.
The department also provides a semen storage service for oncology patients within Norfolk.
